The Pre-Seminary Initiative

The Kern Family Foundation’s Pre-Seminary Initiative exists to encourage a growing number of students on selected Christian college and university campuses to respond to God’s call to church leadership, and especially to serve as pastors of local congregations.  The initiative began in 2007 with multi-year grants to three schools.

Azusa Pacific University                                            
Bethel University

The Foundation will not consider expanding the Pre-Seminary Initiative until after a thorough evaluation of its initial phase in 2010.
