Kara Schulz joined the Foundation in 2016 as the director of special projects for the Entrepreneurial Engineering Program. In this capacity, she oversees a variety of initiatives, including the development of a network engagement platform that is used to create and share content.
Before coming to the Foundation, Kara worked as a project manager at New Resources Consulting at 7Summits, Foley & Lardener, LLP, DataComm Plus, and Exacta Corporation at Ashley Furniture. During this time, she gained leadership experience by spearheading process improvements, start-up operations, and business planning in high-tech and consumer-facing environments. She began working in project management while serving in the Air Force. During this time, she managed a wide range of project functions to facilitate continual process improvements and operational streamlining at Hurlburt Field Air Force Base in Florida, a Special Operations base with 30 mission-critical aircraft.
